Halloween Events

Halloween is always a really fun time and I like to have events at ATA that bring our family close to do some cool things!  My favorite event is Trunk-R-Treat!  Last year we had 18 cars participate and this year we want to have just as many! Friday night we're also doing a Pumpkin Carving Party too.

Trunk-R-Treat is where we park in kind of like an old-fashioned wagon circle in our parking lot and decorate our cars and trunks like a haunted house.  A lot of parents come up with really creative ideas for trunk-r-treat.  Last year we had the Scooby Doo mystery machine and the whole family was dressed like the cast of the show.  Another family had a full on bat cave in the back of the van.  The daughter in the family even recorded a video of her as a TV reporter talking about the crime in Gotham City.  You don't have to go hard like that but you can still participate.  The idea behind it is to create a community in the community and have a safe place for kids to do the trick or treating thing.  

The Pumpkin carving party is just a fun event for us to carve out our pumpkins.  It's going to be friday night after 7:30 and since it's after the karate school, it'll be easy to clean up.  That will be really fun too.
